As a group of new parents and products of a bicultural upbringing ourselves, we wanted to raise our children with the same bilingual vocabulary instilled in us from birth. Soon we realized that the small amount of videos and books available did not contain enough relevant language to take full advantage of the time we spent with them. But what was available, was neither relevant nor enough for our children’s lives. We realized that we needed more.

And so, Osmosis was born

Premier is the father of two boys (6 and 1 year old). It was the birth of his first son that lead Premier to create Osmosis.


A former Sr. Director of Production Operations at Nickelodeon In New York, and with over 25 years of experience in broadcast production, Premier has produced and supervised national and interrnational radio/television commercials and broadcast designs/promotions while earning numerous awards including Promax, BDA, Canada’s Can Pro Award, Beldings, Clio, Cannes and a National Emmy® for excellence in broadcast design for the launch of MSNBC.

Jackie is also the mother of 2 boys and she is fluent in four languages. A former Executive Producer and Director of International Production for Nickelodeon, Jackie has launched Nickelodeon channels worldwide, including Latin America, Russia, Italy and Hungary. She also helped launch Discovery Channel Latin America and her work was recognized with a SunCoast Emmy Award for her production of a special segment on Caesar Chavez while working at Univision Network in Miami.

In August of 2003, Jackie was recognized by the New York State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as business woman of the year for her work on Osmosis. Jackie is also part of the special commitee for cultural compentency for the New York State Department of Education.

Phylisse is the mother of a 3 year old as well as a 5 year old boy. She started her professional career as a writer, performer and director in a children’s theatre company in New York. Phylisse has over 10 years of production and branding experience, including the launch of ESPN’s Classic Sports in 1992, brand redesigns of HBO, Bravo, SoapNet and BBC America earning multiple broadcast design awards in the process. Her international redesigns include Korea’s Catch 1 and Venezuela’s HBO Ole.
